Autoflowers: Will These Seeds Be Feminized?Updated 3 months ago

Autoflowering cannabis seeds can be either regular or feminized, just like photoperiod seeds. The term autoflower refers only to how the plant enters its flowering phase—autoflowers begin blooming based on age rather than changes in light cycle.

Autoflower vs. Feminized: What’s the Difference?

  • Autoflowering describes how the plant grows and when it flowers.

  • Feminized describes the sex of the plant the seed will produce.

These traits are separate, and a seed can have one, the other, or both.

Are ILGM Autoflowers Feminized?

Yes.
All ILGM autoflower seeds are feminized, meaning they are bred to produce female, bud-producing plants only.

Why This Matters

  • You don’t need to identify or remove male plants.

  • No space is wasted on non-flowering males.

  • Every autoflower you grow should produce buds, making the process simple and beginner-friendly.

A Note for Shoppers

Not all autoflower seeds sold elsewhere are feminized, as some breeders do still offer regular autoflower seeds. Always check product details if you are buying from another source.
